This service is part funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, Ireland. The ferry is operated by Vincent O’Driscoll. Both the winter and summer ferry boats are fully licensed to carry passengers.

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague, Richard Haley. Richard was a valued and much-loved member of the Sherkin Ferry crew and the Sherkin Island community for many years. His presence, kindness, and dedication will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him. Richard will be sadly missed by all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Nicola, Ryan, Freya, Evie, Dylan, Blake, Farren, and the extended family during this incredibly difficult time.
