One of the biggest reasons divers from around the world travel to Komodo National Park is the opportunity to dive with manta rays in their natural habitat.

Komodo is home to two manta ray species: the Reef Manta (Mobula alfredi) and the Oceanic Manta (Mobula birostris). Thanks to its nutrient-rich currents, manta rays are frequently spotted at famous dive sites such as Manta Point and Karang Makassar, where they come to feed or visit cleaning stations, allowing smaller fish to remove parasites from their bodies.

Every manta encounter is unique. No one can predict when they will appear or how many you will see. That’s exactly what makes every dive so special.
