She was born on April 21, 1879, in Jepara, Indonesia. At that time, women had very limited opportunities. After a certain age, Kartini had to stay at home due to tradition, but she did not stop learning. She read many books and wrote letters to friends in Europe, sharing her thoughts about equality and freedom.

Kartini believed that women should have the right to go to school and have the same opportunities as men. She spoke up about this through her writings, which later became a famous book called ๐‘ฏ๐’‚๐’ƒ๐’Š๐’” ๐‘ฎ๐’†๐’๐’‚๐’‘ ๐‘ป๐’†๐’“๐’ƒ๐’Š๐’•๐’๐’‚๐’‰ ๐‘ป๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’ˆ (๐‘ถ๐’–๐’• ๐’๐’‡ ๐‘ซ๐’‚๐’“๐’Œ๐’๐’†๐’”๐’” ๐‘ช๐’๐’Ž๐’†๐’” ๐‘ณ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’•).
