Locomotive D7659 was built in 1966 at Beyer Peacock’s Gorton Works and one of a fleet of 327 Sulzer Type 2, later Class 25 locomotives built.
D7659 was renumbered as 25309 in 1974 and later as 25909 in 1985 and was withdrawn in 1986 from British Rail.
It was preserved in 1988.
It is pictured on the West Somerset Railway operating train 2L09 a 09.45 from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard service,approaching Blue Anchor.
