Visa has formally entered into a Joint Commitment Agreement with PT MITJ Indonesia to support the nationwide implementation of Visa Acceptance across public transportation in Indonesia.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Fuad I. Z. Fachroeddin, CEO & President Director of PT MITJ Indonesia, together with Mr. Arturo Planell, Group Country Manager for Regional Southeast Asia (IPVMC) at Visa.
Mr. Fuad I. Z. Fachroeddin, CEO & President Director of PT MITJ said this partnership reflects Visa’s trust in PT MITJ Indonesia as the System Integrator and Implementation Partner for Visa Acceptance and EMV enablement, advancing secure, seamless, and globally aligned payment experiences for public transport users, starting with the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area.

This collaboration represents a key step forward in enabling the future of urban mobility in Indonesia by advancing seamless, secure, and globally aligned transit payments across public transportation networks. By working together, Visa and MITJ continue to support the adoption of open‑loop payment solutions that make transit the best way to pay and be paid, turning innovation into an everyday reality for commuters in Indonesia.
