When transporting freight to England, the shortest road is not always the most efficient one. Depending on your loading location and final delivery destination, a ferry crossing from the Netherlands or Belgium can often reduce unnecessary road mileage and help optimise journey planning.

🚚 THE STORY OF A FIRST DELIVERY TO NORWAY
Completed successfully with Eurogate Connect

What was supposed to be a straightforward delivery from the UK to Germany quickly turned into something much more challenging for MPM Express 77 LTD and Plamen Parvanov.
Midway through the journey, the destination changed. Instead of Germany, the shipment now had to continue all the way to Norway.
The challenge? This was a market that MPM Express had never worked with before.

Faced with an unfamiliar destination, new ferry routes, road toll requirements and a strict delivery schedule, the team needed more than just a ferry booking.
Together, we reviewed several routing options, including direct ferry connections from Germany to Sweden and alternatives via Denmark. After discussing transit times, arrival estimates and delivery requirements, the route was planned via Rostock-Gedser and Helsingør-Helsingborg.
Before departure, Plamen Parvanov received all necessary check-in documents and practical guidance, helping ensure smooth crossings from the beginning.
The journey then continued through Denmark and Sweden towards the far north of Norway, eventually reaching Sulitjelma. Along the way, questions arose regarding road toll systems and local transport requirements in Scandinavia. Our team was able to provide practical information and support, helping the journey continue without unnecessary complications.
