I can’t imagine how electric the environment is in Croatia now during the World Cup. I’ll be rooting for Modric and the boys on Sunday and thinking of how crazy it will be wherever you are. Determined to get a taste of Bosnia-Herzegovina, we visited two places. Mostar is a town that was ravaged during the war in the 90s, with scars still very apparent. Kravice Waterfalls was another stop on this journey, a natural wonder not far from Mostar.

The summer sunshine poured down, the Adriatic Sea was an inviting colour and the cafes and restaurants along the sea front promenade were doing a roaring trade. Cavtat today was absolutely picture postcard perfect. Temperatures today were in the low thirties and the Adriatic a bath like 26 degrees
