A "heaven of relaxation" are the thermal waters of Gracias,Lempira. Nature and the strong temperature emanating from the depths of the earth combine to offer the visitor the perfect analgesic to relieve stress.
During the twelve months of the year hundreds of locals and foreign tourists visit these warm waters and find a natural remedy to restore the skin, relax, or simply an opportunity to spend some time with family or friends.
There´s two hot water spas, one open to the public called "President" whosename originates from a discovery made by Gen.Oswaldo Lopez Arellano during an expedition while serving as head of the Honduran State.
This spring has broken down into five pools for children and adults, and it reaches temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius, which is one of the attractions that lures visitors. Experts say the hot mineral water springs of the body temperature rises, killing germs, including viruses.
