Tips For Vehicle Relocation

1. Ensure your car battery is fully charged. It will need to retain enough charge for the length of the ocean voyage
2. Deactivate your vehicle's alarm system to avoid any unnecessary draining of the battery should your alarm be activated during transportation
3. Check that your fuel-tank is at the minimum level-below a quarter full - for safety
4. Service your vehicle to ensure that you have a hassel-free drive experience at your destination
5. If your destination has dramatically different climate, just remember to check with your mechanic whether you have the correct collant or anti-freeze.
6. Clean your vehicle to make the pre-delivery and collection visual inspections easier
7. Remove all items from your vehicle including your car registration documents and any valuables prior to shipping
8. Keep a duplicate set of keys for your vehicle on hand at all stages of your move: this is not something you want to leave behind.

Best moving hacks + packing tips

Tip 1. If you do your own packing, start packing early and don’t wait until the last minute, the more time you allow yourself to pack, the more successful the packing process will be allow yourself enough time to get through all your to-do list.

Tip 2. Try to use more small/ medium sized boxes so they aren’t too heavy for yourselves or movers to lift.

Tip 3. Make labels and numbers co-ordinate the boxes so they’re clearly identifiable when they arrive at your new home. The more detailed the description the easier will be to find what you’re looking for later.

Tip 4. Valuable jewelry as well as important documents such as passport and insurance policies should be taken with you

Tip 5. Do not pack hazardous and flammable materials, including paint varnish, some cleaning materials if you are uncertain as to what is permitted.

Tip 6. If there are some items that you can’t commit to getting rid of yet but you’re not sure you need, you want to put them in a short-term storage unit and then evaluate later on.

Tip 7. Put your linens, towels, and other soft items to use. Wrap up breakables like glasses or perfume bottles in socks for serious padding, and use linens and towels to provide cushioning for fragile, difficult to wrap items like lamps and vases. In the kitchen, use dish towels to securely wrap up knives and other sharp objects, securing them on there with a rubber band.

Tip 8. Put the clothes and pillows into a rubbish bag, vacuum sealing, and put them into the box to save space during the move.
