This is where Hong Kong says goodnight 🇭🇰

Sai Wan Swimming Shed is one of the last remaining traditional swimming sheds in the city. At sunset, the wooden walkway stretches out over the water and the sky turns every shade of gold and pink. Locals come here to swim, to fish, or to just sit and watch the day end. No fancy beach club needed.

Some places leave you speechless. This is one of them 🇭🇰

Walking along the High Island Reservoir East Dam with walls of hexagonal rock columns on either side of you is something you need to experience in person. These formations are over 140 million years old, shaped by volcanic eruptions that once tore through the Sai Kung region. At the end of the dam, Po Pin Chau stands alone in the ocean, a giant stack of the same hexagonal columns broken away from the coastline by the power of the sea.

Photos and videos will never do this place justice. If you are in Hong Kong or planning a trip, make the journey out to the Geopark. You will not regret it.

Sai Wan Rock Pool requires a hike through the Sai Kung hills before you even catch a glimpse of it. But when you finally arrive and see that natural pool sitting on the edge of the ocean, every step is worth it. Bring your swimwear and stay a while. You earned it.
