At TOA, we have a few employees who have achieved legendary status.
Today, we'd like to introduce another member of the TOA Hall of Fame.

Carbon Microphone
Joined in 1935.

This was one of the very first products TOA brought into the world.

In those early days, the carbon used in microphones was made from sugar.

Several kilograms of sugar yielded only a few grams of carbon. Those precious particles became a key component of TOA's first microphones and marked the beginning of our journey in sound.

More than 90 years later, its legacy still lives on in every conversation, announcement, and message that TOA technologies help deliver.

Fun fact:
Some people still jokingly say that TOA microphones must taste sweet if you lick them.
