London International Shipping Week 2023 Panel Discussion - Charting the future of maritime: A century ahead

We would like to thank Wikborg Rein for inviting John-Kaare Aune, CEO, Wallem Group , to join the panel discussion - Charting the future of maritime: A century ahead.

High level discussions included existing and forthcoming emissions regulations, legal implications for shipowners, operators and shipmanagers, the demand, availability, and scalability of green fuels.

We need to go beyond minimum standards. We need to be proactive, and we need practical regulations that benefit the environment.

We are pleased to welcome Sonangol Njinga Mbande to the Group fleet family. She follows her sister ship, Sonangol Kulumbimbi, who joined Wallem Group earlier this year. Wallem Group’s 120 year anniversary celebrations continued in last night.

John-Kaare Aune, Wallem Group CEO, shared how our 120 year journey started from humble beginnings in Shanghai 1903, to opening our doors in Singapore in 1958, to the present as a full-service ship management provider.

With the backdrop of the breathtakingly stunning Singapore skyline including numerous ships, it was wonderful to share the evening with our partners, former and current colleague and our industry friends.
