WTF… I don’t have anyone to travel with! 😩✈️

So… I just don’t go?

Nope.

That’s exactly why I host small-group trips. ❤️

You don’t need a travel buddy.
You just need to say YES.

Morocco sold out. 🇲🇦
Taiwan is next. 🇹🇼

WTF… what if you just came? 😉

New post is up 🦞 Where to actually stay in Rockland, Maine.

Everyone books Camden and skips Rockland. Wrong move — better prices, real harbour, real town, and Camden’s still 15 minutes away.

Book ahead in lobster season, this town fills up.

Planning a trip to Midcoast Maine? Rockland makes a brilliant base — and it's a lot easier on the wallet than Camden. I've put together a short guide to the best places to stay in Rockland Maine, including two hotels I've personally stayed at.

A week in my life in Hong Kong

Trips to the beach, Typhoons, massages, relaxing at home, tram rides, busy streets, finding new places to eat, learning about my new neighbourhood and exploring my new life!

This is the real Hong Kong, unfiltered, chaotic with no music to make it aesthetically pleasing, just everything you hear in Hong Kong.

The streets are loud, there are people everywhere and this is my new norm.

A typhoon is coming!

It’s that time of year where Typhoons in Hong Kong are a common thing. It is when the streets feel like dusk in the middle of the day, it’s when the wind starts to pick up and the streets start to become eerie.

Things to know before a typhoon hits

- Buildings display current typhoon signal number in their window (Signal 1 means it’s on its way; Signal 8 means batten down the hatches)
- Once Signal 8 is raised, the city essentially shuts down — expect shops, restaurants, and public transport to close within hours, so stock up on food and water before it hits
- Keep an eye on the Hong Kong Observatory app or website — they update the signal in real time and give you a clear picture of the storm’s track and expected timing
- Don’t be fooled by a sudden calm — if the eye of the typhoon passes over the city, conditions can briefly feel fine before the other side of the storm hits just as hard

I've been on a lot of trips over the years, but sailing the Maine coast on the Schooner J. & E. Riggin was something genuinely different.

Five nights on a historic wooden schooner in Penobscot Bay, with Captains Justin Schaefer and Jocelyn Schmidt at the helm, live folk music from Brigid & Johnny Reedy on deck, and the kind of food that makes you wonder why you'd ever eat anywhere else.

I was on the Windjammer Gam — a special themed voyage that combines traditional Maine sailing with live music — and honestly, it's the kind of experience I'll be telling people about for years.

Have you ever sailed on a Maine windjammer? I'd love to know! 🌊⛵

Navigating my way on public transport to spend the day at Repulse Bay.

Enjoying a true Hong Kong (sweltering) summer, taking advantage of the blue sky(before the rain hits again).

Most people think of Hong Kong high rises buildings and busy streets, I am here to show you that it’s so much more!

Today was about … realising that the simple things in life - like the water, the sand and the sun makes me feel happy!

Happy Friday 🌞
