Tip when planning to travel to Hong Kong or Macau.
This past days we experience a strong typhoon signal 10+ as same as hurricane consider by Hong Kong Observatory. This kind of typhoon also happen here way back 4 or 5 years ago if I am not mistaken.
Usually strong typhoon visit or hit Hong Kong and Macau around summer month of June, July and August. If your planning a visit tour try to avoid this months to avoid hassle, stress of rebooking, getting stranded in airport or flight cancellation.
One more issue on summer months the weather is normally SUPER HOT 😵😵🥴. Visiting theme park such as Ocean Park, Disneyland and other outdoor activities does not fit for your convenience.
Well for my suggestion prepare to visit Hong Kong and Macau in the Ber Month such as September, October, November and December. During this months the temperature drops a bit to a convenient atmosphere. Not so hot but not so cold. Time for spring or we call it here Spring Festival were summer season is finish. And we celebrate Moon Festival where the moon is bigger as you can see the beauty of Hong Kong at night especially if your in The Peak.
If you want to experience a cold winter but without snow visit during January, February and March. This months are before and after Chinese New Year. Sometimes its not convenient to move by wearing too much clothes during winter season.
And the best travel month April and May this months can experience different season. It could be an extension of winter season, or the start of rainy season but no typhoon. And sometimes may experience hot weather on other occassion. But at least there will be no disruption on your travel plans.
