At RLP Asia, we believe that shaping a more sustainable built environment begins with empowering future architects. As part of this commitment, our Director, Eugene Shum, joined the jury panel for the Hong Kong stage of the Saint-Gobain Architecture Student Contest 2026, co-organised by Hong Kong Green Building Council and The Hong Kong Institute of Architects.
The competition challenges architecture students to address real-world issues through innovative and sustainable design solutions. This year’s contest tasked students with renewing a recreational precinct in Belgrade, including the revitalisation of athlete accommodation and the Academic Yachting Club.

RLP Asia 相信建構更可持續的建築環境，與培育新世代建築師息息相關。秉持這個理念，事務所董事岑家豪應邀擔任聖戈班建築學生大賽 2026 香港賽區評審。
該活動由香港建築師學會及香港綠色建築議會合辦，旨在鼓勵建築系學生以創新可持續方案，回應現實生活的設計挑戰。今屆比賽要求參賽者為貝爾格萊德休憩區進行翻新設計，包括活化運動員宿舍及學術帆船會。

Committed to sharing our expertise and contributing to industry dialogue, RLP Asia actively engages in conversations that shape the future of urban development. RLP Asia Vice Chairman Bryant Lu, J.P. was invited to speak at the seminar "Empowering the City: Leading the Future of the Greater Bay Area with TOD", organised by Guangdong Engineering Exploration & Design Association, where he traced 30 years of transit-oriented development through RLP Asia's projects.

Drawing on projects including LOHAS Park, The Pavilia Farm, Parc Central and TODTOWN, Bryant reflected on the technical complexities and long-term value creation associated with traditional TOD models, while exploring how TOD can serve as a catalyst for future urban renewal initiatives.

The seminar explored how cities can become more resilient, integrated, and human-centred — insights that RLP Asia continues to apply in shaping sustainable urban environments across Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.

RLP Asia 一直積極參與業界對話，分享專業經驗，共同探討城市未來發展方向。RLP Asia 副主席呂慶耀太平紳士獲邀在廣東省工程勘察設計行業協會主辦的「更新賦能城市發展 · TOD 引領灣區未來」交流會上，分享事務所三十年來的TOD項目實踐及發展歷程。

呂慶耀以日出康城、柏傲莊、天環及天薈為例，剖析傳統 TOD 模式在技術難題與長遠價值創造之間的平衡，並探索 TOD 如何更好地助力未來城市更新。

交流會聚焦如何將韌性及以生命為本的設計融入城市規劃。RLP Asia 將繼續發揮專業所長，持續突破，締造可持續的未來之城。

RLP Asia's projects have won 12 awards at the HKIE Excellent Building Award 2026 — including the highest and most prestigious honour, the “Year of the Excellent” – Award, alongside 4 Grand Building Awards. These achievements reflect the strength of our practice across commercial, residential and innovation-led developments.

Organised by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), the Excellent Building Award celebrates buildings that excel in design, engineering and sustainability performance, setting benchmarks for the industry.

RLP Asia's directors Patrick Chui and Linda Li attended the ceremony to accept the awards on behalf of the firm.

RLP Asia volunteers joined Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong (OPCFHK) | 香港海洋公園保育基金 for Hong Kong Island Flag Day 2026 to support local marine mammal rescue, scientific research, and community education—protecting the biodiversity around us.

Guided by our belief in “Design Better Life”, we extend our commitment to sustainability beyond the built environment to the communities and ecosystems.

RLP Asia has once again made the Top 10 Architects in Hong Kong list at the Hubexo Asia Awards Hong Kong 2026 for the 22nd consecutive year, reflecting the firm’s consistent, significant and lasting contributions to the region’s built environment. Our directors Eugene Shum and Frederick Chan joined the awards gala to mark the occasion.

The Hubexo Asia Awards, formerly the BCI Asia Awards, are a key industry benchmark bringing together leading architects, developers and contractors across Asia.

RLP Asia's Director of Sustainable Design and Behave’s Principal Behaviourist, MK Leung, delivered two compelling presentations focused on creating high-density, liveable urban environments at the Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA) World Congress of Architects 2026 in Barcelona.

MK’s first presentation, "100% Open City Vision" leveraged RLP Asia’s prize-winning entry in the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Urban Renewal Ideas Competition to showcase innovative urban renewal strategies for Hong Kong’s densest neighbourhoods.
While his second, "Empowering the Northern Metropolis Through Design," shifted focus to sustainable growth plans for the region's future strategic hub.

By showcasing pioneering science-based design concepts for multi-level public spaces and low-carbon, nature-based integrations, both sessions issued a powerful call to balance development with climate resilience—reinforcing RLP Asia's commitment to pioneering life-centric, future-ready designs.
