This square is the commercial and administrative centre of the city as well as the site of important social and historical events. Here you'll find cinemas, theatres, banks, hotels, restaurants, dozens of small and large shops, and administrative centres. The square was created during the founding of the New Town by Charles IV in 1348. Today it is dominated by the National Museum (1885 – 1891) and Josef Václav Myslbek’s statue of the national patron St Wenceslas from 1912.

The Park Güell

While you walk, you will have the opportunity to admire the perfect union between nature and architecture and you will find amazing details at every step you take.

Its construction was commissioned by Eusebi Güell as a residential complex for the Barcelona aristocracy but finally the idea was just thrown away and the park became a large private garden. Later, after the death of Güell, it was sold to the Barcelona City Council.

Park Güell covers an area of 17 hectares and was declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1984. It consists of two areas: the monumental area, which is essential to enter, and the free access zone, free of charge.

📍White Tower
The White Tower is the most commonly known monument of Thessaloniki and the symbol of the city because of its prominent position, long history and imposive architecture
It was used as a fort enhancing the harbors defences, as a garrison and a prison. Because of its fame as a notorious prison it was also known as “Tower of Blood” (Kanli Kule) or “Red Tower”. It was renamed to White tower (Torre Blanca) after it was whitewashed possibly in 1891.

If you want to enjoy crystal clear water among the rocks, this is one of the most best beaches in the peninsula! Please note that there is just one shop where you can buy some snacks, there are no proper restaurants around.
