Could Lefkada be the real home of Odysseus?

More than 100 years ago, German archaeologist Wilhelm Dörpfeld became convinced that Homer’s Ithaca was not modern-day Ithaca at all, but Lefkada. He spent years exploring and excavating sites around the island, particularly near Nidri, searching for evidence to support his theory. While his conclusions remain debated, his work uncovered important archaeological sites and left a lasting mark on Lefkada’s history.

It's a fascinating story that adds another layer to the islands we sail through every week.

⛵ We're a bit late to the party, but...

Nova Stella, our new Nautitech 41 S, has now been launched in La Rochelle and has already crossed the Bay of Biscay.

She's still got a few miles to travel before reaching her new home in Lefkada, but we couldn't resist sharing a few photos from launch day.

We're looking forward to following her journey south and welcoming her to the Sail Ionian fleet.
