2025 AEGEAN 600 solidifies its reputation in the 5th edition

A strong turnout of 59 entries from 18 nations in this year’s 5th edition of the AEGEAN 600 has further solidified its reputation as being one of the world’s premier 600-mile offshore events. Teams from throughout the world have once again gathered here to test their skills in a setting where wind, sea and sky combine to produce both great challenges…but also great rewards.

AEGEAN 600 2025 - The First Finishers

An incredible finish to a monumental race. After nearly four days at sea, the first monohulls have crossed the line, with the duel between AIOLOS and DAGUET 5 coming down to the wire.

The two boats battled through everything from dead calms to 50-knot gales. In a stunning display of seamanship, DAGUET 5 suffered a broken wind instrument in the final, brutal Meltemi blast but continued to fight, finishing just 11 minutes behind the larger AIOLOS.

Watch to see the exhausted smiles and hear from the crews who pushed themselves and their boats to the absolute limit.

The 4th edition of the AEGEAN 600 got off to a picture-perfect start yesterday, with all boats in the fleet getting a fast start to their 605-mile journey around the islands of the Aegean. Routing solutions for both the fastest monohulls and fastest multihulls pointed towards new course records, and these teams battled through last night and today in all that this race course could throw at them: from Meltemi winds accelerated to over 40 knots in the island channels followed by near-calms in the island lees.

Even with the breezy conditions in this edition of the AEGEAN 600, the leading Multihulls and Monohulls paired off into match race sailing for the lead and have pushed each other day and night throughout the course. Everyone in the fleet during their transit through the caldera at Santorini is provided a respite from the windiest and roughest conditions while enjoying a stunning view of this spectacular and unique wonder of the natural world.
