Our colleague, Phaedra Vokali, filmmaker and founding member of Filmmakers4palestinegr , is being unlawfully detained by the Israeli army as a crew member of the ship Last Dream, which was intercepted on May 18 during its mission to deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza.

Our thoughts are with Phaedra and all the passengers aboard the 12 ships in total that were violently intercepted by the Israeli military, which to this day has not disclosed the location where those abducted are being held.

We unequivocally condemn the complete disregard for International Humanitarian Law being committed by the State of Israel and join our voice with the thousands of people demanding the activists’ immediate and safe return to their home countries.

Η συνάδελφός μας, Φαίδρα Βόκαλη, κινηματογραφίστρια και ιδρυτικό μέλος του Filmmakers4palestinegr κρατείται παράνομα από τον Ισραηλινό στρατό ως μέλος του πληρώματος του πλοίου Last Dream που αναχαιτίστηκε στις 18 Μαΐου κατά τη διάρκεια της αποστολής του να μεταφέρει ανθρωπιστική βοήθεια στον αποκλεισμένο λαό της Γάζας.

Η σκέψη μας είναι μαζί με τη Φαίδρα και όλους τους επιβαίνοντες των 12, συνολικά, πλοίων που αναχαιτίστηκαν με βίαιο τρόπο από τον στρατό του Ισραήλ, που μέχρι σήμερα δεν έχει γνωστοποιήσει τον τόπο κράτησης των απαχθέντων.

Καταδικαζουμε αυτονόητα την παντελή παράβλεψη του Διεθνούς Ανθρωπιστικού Δικαίου που διαπράττει το κράτος του Ισραήλ και ενώνουμε τη φωνή μασ με χιλιάδες κόσμου που απαιτούν την άμεση και ασφαλή επιστροφή των ακτιβιστών στις χώρες τους.

The film follows three fathers who decide to chaperone their teenage daughters on a rowdy school trip to a remote island, tensions quickly escalate and their grip on the situation begins to slip. As buried memories resurface, games turn into power struggles - and power into violence. Soon no one can tell: who is in charge, and who is in danger? ⚠️

We will be bringing the film to Cannes at with an exclusive screening on Wednesday May 13th at 13:30 at Lerins 2 📆

We’re proud to announce that we have acquired the new film by Valentina Maurel (I Have Electric Dreams) ahead of its Cannes Un Certain Regard premiere! ✨

The film follows Elsa who returns to Costa Rica after years of studying in Europe and reconnects with her younger sister, who’s growing increasingly distant and reclusive, while their parents are absorbed in their own lives.
Elsa’s return draws the three women into a confrontation with what still binds them, despite everything. ♾️
