"With the “Dishcover Piraeus” initiative, the first in Greece, creating the city’s ‘culinary portfolio’, Piraeus is showing the way,” said the President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, referring to the initiative which will make available valuable information for tourists to get a comprehensive culinary and travel experience while in Piraeus.

GNTO President Angela Gerekou sees Piraeus as a city that can evolve into a popular city break destination offering culture and gastronomy as some of its main attractions.

Honoured that on the occasion of our project Dishcover Piraeus, Dishcover is included in the best practices of the YETC project from 6 European countries, which are about innovative entrepreneurial initiatives that bring something new. Dishcover Piraeus is the first recording of culinary resources/portfolio in Greek destination with the utilisation of data analytics in areas such as sentiment analysis and other primary research methods such as oral history. The material has already been used in the creation of three self-guided culinary walks and five local ambassadors’ guides, as well as the enhancement of the destination’s travel trade relationships. https://www.yetcproject.eu/dishcover-travel/

Playing with AR features and multimedia, a few hours before our "Athens in a Cup" experience soft launch.

It is faschinating how technology can bridge different points of time together in order to discover a place through time. This is our approach, we use our innovative technology as bridge and medium and not as a replacement of the real world experience!

Here, the Coromila Mansion at Syntagma, where the famous Zavoriti's café used to be (demolished in the 60's). It is said that Zavoritis received the management of the café in exchange for his position as rail station official, because his uniform impressed the owner!
