Adam Cosgrove is fully qualified British Marine Engineer, Skipper and yacht broker. Based in Athens Greece. He has specialized in the build, production, refit and maintenance of Princess and Oyster yachts over the last 20 years. Has been involved with Open 60 and high-end yacht racing and the building of super yachts up to 91 meters. Adam Cosgrove has hundreds of thousands of nautical miles under his belt having skippered solo and as part of a team and crew. His love for water and marine engineering combined and evolved to enable him to detect any problems your yacht may have. Adam specialises in Princess and Oyster yachts as he has worked for the companies over the years as Engineer and as Captain As a test engineer he has had the last say as to weather a yacht is suitable to go from the build yard to the owner, testing every part of mechanical equipment on board the yacht to ensure the new owner gets a vessel that is structurally and mechanically sound. Any defects no matter how small are noted and rectified. If there were to be any problems further down the line all responsibility would be pointed to Adam, therefore his knowledge had to be second to none. In order to do this type of job Adam had to have an active current knowledge of every conceivable system and construction used in modern yachting. His knowledge of both power and sailing yachts, and all technologies whether it be for leisure or sport of all types of yachts and sizes weather built from wood GRP or Carbon is unparalleled. Having grown up with a 37 foot classic yacht taught by his grandfather when he was just 4 years old how to sail and navigate, maintain and operate vessels gave him a good base to build to the knowledge he has today.
Spiros Bletsogiannis is a Captain has the ability to source any part you need for a project in Athens. This is very important as if you do not know the area it can seem impossible to find anything and you end up paying double because the part goes through so many hands. Spiros’s knowledge will save you hundreds if not thousands.
Dimitris Tsakos has connections across Greece knowing people in every marina and shipyard. Dimitris and Adam are also used by Azimut Italy and London to do all warranty work.
