HISTORY & VISION
Since Istion’s founding in 1992 by Ioannis Kourounis in Kos island, the Dodecanese yachting scenery underwent a very promising transformation; a booming sailing popularity of this region of exquisite natural beauty was combined with the introduction of a top-quality sailing fleet and excellent customer services! With just a handful of yachts available back then, Istion succeeded in introducing the Dodecanese to a whole new generation of sailing enthusiasts as one of the most intriguing & sensational sailing destinations in Greece. Istion's spectacular growth was initially based on our customer-centric approach of providing top-tier services. Our focus on always putting our customer first was the missing link between a region of great cultural output and sheer natural beauty and an ever-increasing influx of spellbound visitors.
