“…You’ll be hard pushed to meet a chef more passionate than Adamantia Kouzoupi and here she shows her love of fine cuisine, cooking for kids, and the specialities you can expect to experience during your next charter.
Food teachers taught her the very basics of being a chef and how to push herself to exceed expectations.

Adamantia always wanted to work cooking on yachts around the Mediterranean, and M/Y FOR EVER was a great opportunity to do so. It combined her love of cooking and the sea, which was the dream.

To be honest, She doesn’t really have a favourite cuisine. She just likes to cook local food well.
She doesn’t have a signature dish either, but she enjoys cooking Traditional plates, classical French, modern English and Asian cuisine.
She gets the inspiration and ideas for menus, Just from walking around in markets, her imagination, local food, and the internet!

Adamantia prefers to use local ingredients when on charter.
She can manage special dietary requirements – vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. It really depends on the visitor’s eating.
Some kids eat like adults, however she always uses fresh organic products while cooking simple food.
She is always handpicking her ingredients from the best markets in every port.
It’s amazing for her, cooking for A-list visitors which she had always had in her mind.

For some it is important to meet people, whose spirit can relate to the common one we loved. The Sea. And to be able to express in simple understandable words, descriptions and meanings, for the so-so simple things and life forms that can live and breathe from the sea.
We are next to them, but we are used to being so common that we do not deal with them. We just like the decor they offer. Till there…

And a great thinker, Giorgos Doultsinos, comes so simply to tell us that next to the sea, where we enjoy the sun or the little children build their castles on the sand, there are these "pirates" who have the way to enjoy what we do, to leave and come in their own periodicity, unknown to us but so magical and sublime for them.
I really envy the way this "next door" thinker refers to what we all passed by. The “tamarinds”

To travel with these Sun reborn Pirates. The tamarinds. Here is how he describes them in his own thoughtful way.


"...Those who are Sun reborn …”
They were pirates. They seem to have lived outside the law, there is no other way to explain it. Hundreds of years ago. But the pirates are killed, and the sea always washes them ashore.

The way it is. Distorted, spooky, scary, raggedy. They went out there, dug their fingernails and toenails into the sand and rooted.

They were reborn to stay close to her. Reborn from the Sun. Now, they try to trick their beloved. To find the opportunity, to put themselves in her arms again.

Deep, final now. Sometimes, entire armies of them. They wait stoically and to atone for their sinful piracy, they do supposedly good deeds.

They cover and protect unsuspecting bathers in the summer with their shade. Who knows what they are thinking when little kids build sandcastles? In front of them they play with their plastic boats…

This is where the season of sun and shadow ends. It is the time when the great wave will burst upon them. He will uproot them, they will drag the wooden leg, he will polish their one good eye, and the parrot on their shoulder will have turned. They will ache the breasts of the sea so fiercely that they will seize them, foaming joy, to barge.

Some afternoon when the sun will have already set, no one will understand anything, and they will be innocent. Their hidden treasure is somewhere over the horizon waiting for them..."

…Giannis, the deckhand deserves to discover the shadow of his smile and the strength of his offer…

Giannis (John) is an integral part of the crew in the day-to-day running of the yacht FOR EVER. He is responsible for the daily maintenance of the yacht, involving hands-on tasks to ensure it remains in immaculate condition for all guests at all levels of the yacht.

His daily tasks vary and can include wash-downs, polishing, varnishing, teak cleaning, sanding, painting, and general maintenance. Giannis may also be asked to drive or assist with the yacht’s tenders.

Giannis’ responsibilities as a Deckhand include:
Daily wash-downs of the yacht…
Deck scrubbing…
Stainless polishing…
Cleaning of deck lockers and bilges…
Assisting with docking operations and anchoring…
Assisting guests as required during water sports…

Giannis always has persuaded himself to stay flexible and on top of the “game”.

Charter seasons are long and intense. He feels he is running like to be in a marathon and not in a sprint; He is working wisely and spread his energy. “Flexibility is the key” he says. And at the end of every charter, he stays fresh to start again and prepare from the beginning for the next charter.

Moreover, each charter brings different guests, therefore different demands and different cultures. His flexibility to switch and change his style of service is very important. He is this “multitool”, that if it is “near” you, then you can really bless your luck.

Captain Chris Karatzis more than 23 years of experience.

Captain Chris Karatzis is the navigator, and as such is responsible for the safety of the crew and passengers, the supervision of the crew as well as ensuring the enjoyment of all guests onboard. As FOR EVER yacht Captain is a natural born charismatic leader, capable of creating a strong and cohesive team.

Captain Chris karatzis believes that part of being a great captain is being a great leader who is confident, strong, and capable in his role. As a captain, he knows how to lead others.
Whether he is guiding the crew or owners and guests. Everyone trust him when he is ready to make the critical decisions on the boat when it is necessary.

Not only must captain be competent in their playing, they need to inspire confidence in their players, evaluate the game plan and change it if circumstances dictate.
Captain Chris knows to handle pressure well, make tactical decisions and communicate effectively with all the crew.

Ultimately, being a captain is a bit like being a good colleague at work: You take responsibility, you don't give up at the first obstacle, you're not afraid to make decisions, you can bring a team together, you can set examples and you can embody the values of the company you work for.

Captain Chris karatzis: The traditional definition of leadership fits here. A leader, by definition, is expected to lead – initiatives, people, teams. A few words about our crew.

While working on a superyacht sounds glamorous, it can be anything but. Our crew members wake up before dawn to start their day, which typically involves a lot of cleaning and catering to the requests of owners and guests. M/Y FOR EVER crew members must meet high expectations.

Working on M/Y FOR EVER yacht involves very, very long days with little rest and expectations to perform at the highest levels of service while not losing their cool under pressure.
By the time they start at the top of the boat and move around drying the boat, washing windows, and prepping water toys, depending on where the guests are.
Always they are thinking of ways to make the day special and 'perfect' as much as possible.
Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, and lots of smiling. Behind the scenes, a lot of running around and working at high speed, throwing stuff into drawers and sorting it out later when they have time, laughing, and keeping spirits high.
Work is easy and consists of general maintenance and keeping the boat in perfect/ready state for when the owner or the guests does show up. Our crew on M/Y FOR EVER can be very enjoyable.

A typical day involves turning beds for guests and crew.
Food and beverage service three times a day.
A lot of plans and schedules change on the fly depending on the owners and guests and their wants and whims.
Yachting is an eye opening, ultimately fun industry that demands hard work, perfection and attention to detail. The yacht crew every day has a deep insight into what should do to make the most of their work.

On our Yacht FOR EVER Teamwork is about having a shared goal, a shared purpose. So, all the crew together as a group, define the objectives and goals. Captain suggests, whether it is getting bigger tips, learning new skills, or just having fun. All the crew from the beginning try to find a way to create a vision that supports everybody’s individual desires, as well as delivering an exceptional experience for guests.

This is one of the desserts and cakes that Maira Zogopoulou - five-star pastry chef of M/Y FOR EVER yacht - prepared for the guests in this superb yacht, which has completely blown their minds and certainly ignited their mindful eating senses.

She always leave the cake, sit in front of the guests for a while, while they gaze at it and take in all the ingredients, admire the decorations and then think about the care and attention that the superyacht chef took to prepare this little morsel of delight just for them.
