POV: You're a kayak guide in Qeqertarsuaq, Greenland.

Yesterday's season-opening kayak tour was one of those days you never forget.

Just 10 minutes after launching, two humpback whales surfaced right beside us. Harp seals were feeding nearby, while the calm waters of Disko Bay revealed fish swimming beneath our kayaks.

No engine noise. No crowds. Just us and the Arctic wilderness.

We paddled among towering icebergs, volcanic cliffs, sea arches, caves, and waterfalls. The water was so calm that every crack and rumble from the drifting icebergs echoed across the bay—an experience in itself.

Almost too much to take in during a single tour.

Feeding time! 🐾🐶

Before they start eating, Danny says “Takanna,” which means “there it is” or “there you go.” As soon as they hear the word, they know it’s time to eat and eagerly run to their food. Today they’re enjoying lumpfish, a meal that keeps them strong and happy. 🐟

We’re proud to share that Kristine, Naja & Danny have now completed the Greenland Sea Kayak Guide Programme 2026 in Nuuk 🛶

Danny has updated and upgrated his certificate, and Naja and Kristine have officially received theirs!
This means we are ready to guide you safely on sea kayak adventures in Qeqertarsuaq.

A big thank you to all the other participants in the course for sharing your knowledge, experiences, and good energy during the training, we learned a lot from you all.
