Meet Kirsten ✨

For Kirsten, Qeqertarsuaq begins just outside her door. When the snow melts, she heads into the landscape around town to gather flowers and plants she later turns into floral prints in her workshop🪻

At , pressed flowers, sealskin products and knitwear share the shelves with handicrafts created by artists from Qeqertarsuaq and other parts of Greenland. Soft music plays in the background, and the scent of herbal tea greets visitors as they step inside 🍵

putting on a show for our Icefiord Cruise 🔥🔥

We love that there's so many different ways to enjoy being on the water

We’ll probably stick to Aleqa Ittuk and leave the wakeboarding to the pros for now (but we have to admit ... this looks pretty fun!!🤭)

We rate this a 10/10 🥇

Watch the light dance over Eqi 🌟

Magical places exist 🧚 And Eqi Glacier is definitely one of them

The Eqi Glacier (or Eqip Sermia in Greenlandic) is one of Greenland’s most active and impressive glaciers

Located around 80 kilometers north of Ilulissat, it is safe to say that Eqi is one of our favorite places to sail to

Because of its remote location, the glacier can only be reached by boat or helicopter. Some days, it takes our biggest steel ship Najaaraq to make the journey all the way to the glacier front, carefully navigating through the smaller pieces of ice filling the bay

But when you finally arrive, you understand why the journey was worth it 💙

Today, skipper Niklas is giving you a little tour of his favorite Targa in the fleet 🤝

Suliaoq is a Targa 44 and little a bit different from the rest of our boats, as she is the only Targa in our fleet with a flybridge and a jet drive system, making her perfect for our Icefjord Cruises and Whale Safari 💙

This island exists so close to Ilulissat, but still skipped by most people visiting Disko Bay

It is not about finding some “hidden gem”

It is more about realizing how much there actually is, once you start looking a bit further than the usual route 🍃

There is so much happening just a short sail away. Icebergs, black sand beaches, incredible landscapes and whales (if you are lucky)

You can choose between a daytrip, or taking the ferry and spending the night at Hotel Disko Island
