Goaso is the capital of the new Ahafo Region of Ghana. It is located in the Asunafo North District. Legend says the founder of this unique town in the tropical heartland of Ghana was a palm wine tapper. Goaso was founded on the banks of the river Goa but was moved upland overtime due to issues with living on the banks. This would have included seasonal flooding of the river.
Do take the time to visit Goaso if ever, there is a opportunity to do so, and get a feel of life in a real tropical forest environment...humidity, rainfall and all.
