Just a short drive from the city, Etchmiadzin offers a completely different pace. The Mother See of the Armenian Apostolic Church isn't just any church; the main cathedral was founded in the early 4th century, making it the oldest cathedral in the world. Walking through the UNESCO-listed grounds, you realize you're standing at the foundation of Armenian identity.
The way the Armenian sun hits the ancient volcanic tuff stone is something you have to see in person. Between the manicured gardens and the shadow of Mount Ararat in the distance, it’s the perfect place to reflect and soak in centuries of culture. ⛰️🇦🇲

Hello from the Pink City!
After a classic minibus journey from Tbilisi, we spent two days getting lost in the soul of Yerevan. There’s a certain magic to the way this city balances grand Soviet-era architecture with a super cozy, modern lifestyle.

Standing in the heart of it all, Republic Square, surrounded by the National Museum and that massive, beautiful stone ensemble.

Stumbling upon Charles Aznavour Square and the iconic Moscow Cinema - the vibe there, with the fountains and the old-school theatre charm, is unmatched.

Walking down tree-lined avenues, where every corner feels like an open-air art gallery. The public art here is everywhere!

The restaurant and cafe scene is incredible - so much life happening on the sidewalks.

Yerevan, you’re a beauty!

There are two ways to get to the Gergeti Trinity Church: a bumpy 4x4 ride or the old-fashioned way, hiking up from the valley. We chose the trek, and honestly, standing at 2,170 meters with the wind in our faces and the church finally in sight was pure magic.
Every step uphill revealed a new perspective of Stepantsminda below. The 14th-century stone walls, the silence of the high peaks, and the legendary Mount Kazbek towering behind us at over 5,000 meters... it’s a moment that stays with you forever.

Welcome to the roof of the Caucasus!
The views from the Gudauri Panorama are honestly hard to put into words. Standing at nearly 2400 meters above sea level, you’re looking straight down into the "Devil’s Valley." The sheer scale of these mountains makes you feel so small in the best way possible.
The air up here is crisp, the silence is heavy, and those deep green gorges stretching out below are pure magic. If you’re looking for that "desktop wallpaper" moment in Georgia, this is it.

First stop on the way to Kazbegi: the Ananuri Fortress Complex, right on the edge of the Zhinvali Reservoir.
The lake is actually a massive reservoir that supplies Tbilisi with its water. Hidden beneath those turquoise depths lies the old village of Zhinvali, including a 12th-century church that occasionally reemerges when the water level drops!
The tallest square tower is called Sheupovari (The Fearless), the last line of defense during sieges and has survived centuries of battles.
Church walls are covered in intricate stone carvings of the Georgian grapevine cross and even mythical dragons.
It’s the perfect mix of Game of Thrones vibes and breathtaking nature.

Next stop: higher into the Caucasus! 🏔️🇬🇪

Sometimes you see a place that just doesn't feel real. Vardzia is one of them, the 12th-century bastion built under the legendary Queen Tamar.
🔹Imagine 13 levels containing enormous churches, living quarters, pharmacies, and (of course, this is Georgia) ancient wine cellars, all hewn from solid rock. It used to be hidden until a massive earthquake in 1283 sheared off the front of the mountain, revealing the intricate network inside like a giant ant farm.
🔹 It’s perched high above the Mtkvari River valley in southern Georgia. The landscape here is rugged, stark, and absolutely dramatic, a deep canyon that feels worlds away from everything.

Exploring these tunnels and looking out over that valley view is a surreal experience. You absolutely have to add this to your bucket list. It’s worth every step of the journey! 🇬🇪🥾

The ancient Davit Gareja Monastery Complex, a network of rock-hewn caves, stands in silent testament to centuries of faith, but it’s the semi-desert landscape that truly captivates.
This region is mesmerizing - a vast, otherworldly expanse where the earth reveals incredible textures and colors. The contrast between the sheer solitude of the hills and the spiritual depth of the monastery is profound. It feels like stepping onto another planet.

In Borjomi's embrace, where emerald whispers rise,
Healing waters flow, beneath cerulean skies.
A verdant tapestry, where time finds gentle ease,
Breathe in the mountain air, carried on the breeze.
Four scenes, a poet's glance, of nature's sweet romance.

Finding peace and beauty at Bodbe Monastery.🕊️
Nestled in Georgia's stunning Kakheti region, this sacred site, dedicated to St. Nino (who brought Christianity to Georgia!), is truly a place of tranquility.
Under a perfect, clear blue sky, the monastery grounds felt incredibly serene and inspiring. The vibrant flowers, ancient architecture, and the sense of history here were absolutely captivating. A truly blessed experience in the heart of wine country! 🙏

Lost in the golden light of Kakheti and Sighnaghi! ☀️
This day-trip was an absolute dream, especially with that perfect weather – clear blue skies, just a few fluffy clouds, and endless sunshine.
Kakheti, Georgia's primary wine region, truly offers a taste of ancient traditions and breathtaking landscapes. And then there's Sighnaghi, the charming "City of Love," with its distinctive cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and truly magnificent views.
The panoramic vistas of the Alazani Valley from here are simply breathtaking. Every corner of this place felt like a postcard!

Where spirit and scenery meet - Mtskheta.
Just outside Tbilisi lies Georgia’s ancient capital, where rivers merge and time slows down.
From the hilltop Jvari Monastery, the view over the town and valleys below is pure poetry.
And nestled within Mtskheta’s old stone walls stands Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, one of the most sacred places in Georgia, where legends say the robe of Christ is buried.
Cobbled streets, mountain air, and centuries of devotion… this place is a quiet kind of powerful.
