Who else would love to live that close to the sea?

A lovely day yesterday helping Debbie & Roger move from Wrexham to their new home by the sea in Kinmel Bay — just 50 metres from the sand ☀️

Three vehicles, full team, and everything taken care of from start to finish.

We took our time to wrap and protect everything properly, made sure it all arrived safely, and got things set up just how they wanted in their new home.

Moves like this are always special — you can really feel the excitement of a fresh start.

Wishing Debbie & Roger many happy years by the coast 🏡

Just checking in on you all today.

This page started as a way of sharing our journey, but it’s become much more than that. Through this business we’ve met some genuinely lovely people and been trusted at big moments in their lives, which means a lot.

Moving home has taught me something — everyone carries something you can’t see. Stress, change, hope, worry… sometimes all at once.

So this is simply a check in.

From Hope to Llay — and into a new chapter. 🏡🚛

Today we had the privilege of moving Alanna and Luke into their new home in Llay — and as locals ourselves, it felt even more special welcoming them to the neighbourhood.

A long day, plenty of steps (13,798 apparently… but who’s counting), lots of lifting, dismantling and rebuilding — but absolutely worth it to help make moving day feel calm and organised.

Moves like this are never just about furniture.

They’re about helping people start well.

There’s something special about being trusted to move former colleagues from the teaching profession. ❤️

Today was Part 1 of helping prepare a move — carefully relocating the majority of their belongings into storage ahead of moving day.

From protective coverings and careful loading, to making sure everything entered storage safely and in order, it’s always about doing things properly, not rushing through a job.

As a former teacher, it means a lot when people you once worked alongside trust you with something as personal as moving home.

Most of the home is now safely in storage ahead of moving day — part one complete. 🚛

We currently have a selection of quality household items available that we’d like to pass on to people locally who genuinely need them.

This forms part of our Lewis & Co Community Reuse — ensuring good, usable furniture goes to the right people rather than being wasted.

Items currently available:

• Double bed & mattress
• Sofa
• Wardrobe
• Small furniture unit
• Breakfast stools x 3
• Table tennis table

These items are not for resale.
They are intended for individuals or families who may be:

• starting over
• moving into a new property with very little
• coming out of difficult or unexpected situations

We will be giving priority to referrals from local organisations, charities, and support groups, to make sure the items go where they’re most needed.

A two-stage move completed this week for Erin & Nathan and their young family.

Llay → secure storage → new home near the Wirral.

Yesterday looked a little different for us.

No vans loaded.
No sofas down staircases.
No beds to rebuild.

Instead, today was spent driving.

Northwich.
Delamere.
Hoylake.
Chester.
Wrexham.
Johnstown.
Whitchurch.

One thing I’m always grateful for in this job is the trust people show before we’ve even moved a single box.

Yesterday I was welcomed into homes by families planning their next chapter. Some excited. Some overwhelmed. Some quietly reflecting on what they’re leaving behind.

Moving house isn’t just logistics.
It’s people’s lives in boxes.

When I left teaching to build this business, I knew one thing mattered more than anything else — how people feel during the process.

So days like today matter.

Walking through homes.
Listening to what matters to families.
Planning how to protect furniture properly.
Working out how we make the day calm rather than chaotic.

Because when the moving day comes, that preparation is the difference.

Over the past few months we’ve helped families move across North Wales, England and beyond — and it always starts the same way.

A conversation.
A cup of tea sometimes.
A walk around someone’s home.

Some places don’t just hold memories — they hold pieces of you.

Today took me back to Black Rock Sands in Morfa Bychan.

As a child, I came here with my parents, sister and our dog, Sam. No big agenda. Just beach, sea air and time together.

Standing here now, years later, it all comes back in seconds.

The funny thing is — this job takes me all over North Wales. Wrexham. Caernarfon. Villages, coastlines, industrial estates, new homes, old homes.

But days like this remind me:

We don’t just move furniture.

We move people between chapters of their lives.

And one day, the house you’re moving into will be the place your kids look back on like this.
