Today's office. 🤩

We're easing back into the week after the bank holiday by starting on a batch of custom corrugated packaging on the Elitron digital cutting system.

One of the useful parts of the system is that it can cut and crease each sheet in the same process, creating the panels, slots and fold lines needed for each box. That gives us plenty of flexibility when working on different designs and smaller runs.

A look back at another custom packaging project. 🤩

For this project, the customer was looking for an alternative to corrugated packaging, with something lightweight, reusable and suited to the product they needed to protect.

We used plastic honeycomb for the outer case, with cross linked foam inserts shaped to hold the product securely in place. Bringing the two materials together gave the product the protection it needed while keeping the packaging lightweight and reusable.

A batch of these textile dunnage stillages are getting their final checks this morning before heading out to an automotive customer.

They’ve been designed to protect sensitive components with finished and polished surfaces during transport, with the flexible grid system keeping each part separated and reducing the chance of damage.

Once they arrive, the organised layout will help production teams quickly identify and access the components they need.
