🏆 V3 Charity Shield 2026 – Another Incredible Day for Football & Charity ⚽💙

The 3rd annual V3 Charity Shield took place on Sunday 12th July at the DOADC Stadium, Claines, home of the Worcestershire FA, and what a fantastic occasion it was.

This year's event proudly supported Dementia UK, bringing our football community together once again to raise vital funds for an incredible cause.

Defending champions Hanley Swan faced Worcester Phoenix in a fiercely contested match played in an intense 32°C heat. Despite the conditions, both teams produced an entertaining game full of commitment, quality and sportsmanship.

There were big chances at both ends throughout the first half, but it was Worcester Phoenix who broke the deadlock with virtually the last kick before half-time to take a 1-0 lead into the break.

The second half saw Hanley Swan push hard for an equaliser, creating several excellent opportunities, only to be denied by an outstanding goalkeeping performance from the Phoenix goalkeeper. As Hanley Swan threw more players forward in search of a leveller, they were left exposed on the counter attack, allowing Worcester Phoenix to seal the victory with a second goal in the 90th minute.

🏅 Final Score: Hanley Swan 0–2 Worcester Phoenix

Congratulations to Worcester Phoenix, who are crowned the 2026 V3 Charity Shield Champions! 👏

A huge thank you goes to both teams, the match officials, volunteers, Worcestershire FA, supporters and everyone who helped make this year's event such a success.
