Sorry to hear the sad news of the passing of Rory Best.

Rory was the younger brother of Pete Best, the drummer for The Beatles (before being replaced by Ringo Starr in 1962).

Rory wasn’t as publicly prominent as Pete, but he was part of the Liverpool music-scene around the early Beatles era.

Their mother, Mona, ran the famous Casbah Coffee Club in Liverpool, which played an important role in the band's early history.

Rory, along with his other brother, Roag, was a tour guide for The Casbah and I got to know him quite well over the years through sharing his memories of those far off days. Some of those memories I remember him saying ‘…but I can’t tell you about that!’ with a twinkle in his eye.

My condolences go out to all the Best family and Rory’s friends. May he Rest In Peace 💔

Join us tomorrow night for the FREE ‘Woolton Acting for Camera Workshop’.

We meet at 18.30 - 20.30 ish to practice our craft in front of the camera with like minded people, to share ideas and experiences, learn some new stuff, have a place to create show reel material and idents, even film auditions if you’re getting them, the opportunity to get some really cool head shots, get help in finding an agent and getting your face in front of casting people and, hopefully, help in actually progressing with your career. 🎬🎥🤩

We meet every Wednesday evening at the Woolton Village Club, Allerton Rd, Woolton.

It’s run by actors for actors, and won’t cost you a dime (if you want to purchase drinks, snacks and nibbles from the bar then that’ll help support the club who’ve given us the room for free - but that’s not obligatory).
