Keddleston Hall (well, a 3 mile parkland walk, as the house was closed)
Then Duffield Castle, followed by the fabulous Hardwick Hall, with it's amazing tapestries!😍

Derby.
A cathedral city, known for pioneering the Industrial revolution, Rolls Royce, Crown Derby and Lara Croft was created here.
The worlds first factory Lombes factory, now restored and reopened as the Museum of Making, The Silk Mill.
Lots of independent (and different) shops, IMO not the prettiest city but still has lots going for it.
The town centre and Market Hall was bustling on a Tuesday lunchtime, pretty rare to see nowadays.
Several museums (free entry)
Definitely worth a visit!

Home to the only medieval cathedral with 3 spires in the UK.
Was home to Samuel Johnson.
Has an interesting and eye catching array of architecture, various shops, big names and independents.
Boasts two Michelin star restaurants.
Has a rich history and museums to visit.
Definitely somewhere to spend some time exploring!

Was home to Samuel Johnson.
