2 years today, the day after New Years Day, was the day I went on the streets trying to drum up business for my new working venture.
It’s been a fun and worth while 2 years.
Here are some stats for those 2 years.....
Days off sick - 0 in 2019 and 0 in 2018.
Accidents on the road - 0 in 2019, 0 in 2018.
Van serviced - 5 in 2019, and 5 in 2018.
Guess the Grounds - 28 in 2019, 37 in 2019 (slacking 😂😂)
Times I have fuelled up - 126 in 2019, 161 in 2018.
Days I have been out to work - 241 in 2019, 250 in 2018.
Miles driven - 82000 in 2019 and 89000 in 2018.

I have received some fantastic service reviews and am really looking forward to the 20’s 👍👍👍

I was asked the other day, “what do you deliver?”
I said “anything and everything as long as it fits in the van!!!”
Here are a couple of pics of what I have done so far this week....
The boxes are Nokia comms for Telecoms workers, the circular structures were used at the NEC for a show, and the shelving is for a guy at home to put in his shed!!!
So yeah, literally anything 👌👌

So for S.M. Transport, 2018 has pretty much come to the end.
This time last year, I was daunted about starting a business on my own (with my van by my side)
I will always remember 2nd January, going out with 250 business cards, knocking doors, being rejected, but moving onto the next door until a breakthrough came.
Going home and telling the wife I had not earned 1 pound was a difficult thing to say that day!!!!!
But things improved, and I have been really pleased with how my year has gone.
Here it is, in numbers.......

0 - days off sick.
0 - accidents on the road.
0 - animals killed (excluding flies in the Summer!!)
1 - drivers side window fixed. It was hot in August!!!
3 - sets of new wiper blades.
4 - new tyres fitted.
5 - van services.
37 - Guess the Grounds done!!
161 - times I put fuel in the van.
250 - days I have been in my van and worked.
89000+ - miles driven.

Just reflecting on my last 10 months in business working for myself, doing jobs that are reflective of me and focus on service for the customer.
I must say that it was a huge decision to make, but one where you can really feel personal satisfaction 👌
