🚚🦁 Red Lion Logistics Ltd – Not Just Movers, Apparently We're Interior Designers Now! 🦁🚚

Today's mission took us from the other side of Guildford to Banstead, collecting a full load of furniture and loose items from storage for an interior design company.

The job wasn't just a simple move either... oh no. Once everything arrived, we had to carry it all into the correct rooms and build the flat-pack furniture ready for the professional photoshoot to help sell the property.

So today we were:
✅ Removal men
✅ Furniture builders
✅ Interior staging assistants
✅ Amateur weather forecasters

The weather couldn't make its mind up all day. One minute we were enjoying the sunshine, the next minute we were questioning our life choices in the rain. Typical British summer! 🌦️

The property looked fantastic once everything was in place, and it's always satisfying seeing an empty room transformed into something that looks straight out of a magazine.

A big thank you to our lovely clients who were over the moon with the result. Nothing damaged, no furniture left upside down, and nobody ended up in a flat-pack box... which we consider a successful day! 😆

Well today was a bit different... 😳

Spent the day helping my brother Terry at PEM Bird & Pest Solutions.

Now most of you know I'm normally found clearing houses, shifting furniture, drinking tea and generally staying with both feet firmly on the ground.
Today, however, someone thought it would be a great idea to put me in a harness and send me up in a cherry picker at what felt like 47,000 feet in the air. 😅

Today's mission was putting up the first stage of bird-proofing wire ready for netting to be installed on another visit.
Apparently pigeons had decided the building looked like a lovely little housing development and were planning to move in rent-free. 🐦🏠

I'm pleased to report I survived the heights, nobody had to scrape me off the floor, and the harness stayed clean despite a few moments where I was questioning my life choices! 😂

Fair play to Terry though - it's a proper skilled job and not something I'd fancy doing every day.

If you've got problems with pigeons, wasps, rats, mice, bird-proofing or other unwanted visitors, I'd highly recommend giving him a shout.

♻️ SCRAP METAL WANTED - WOKING & SURROUNDING AREAS ♻️

Our van is currently suffering from a condition known as "not enough scrap metal syndrome." The only known cure is collecting more metal before we head to the scrapyard on Monday.

We've got a load of metal stored from recent house clearances, but there's no point driving to the scrap yard with half a van. Diesel isn't getting any cheaper, and neither is my tea habit. ☕😂

☀️ Another one completed by Red Lion Logistics Ltd

Today we completed a removal from a Woking storage unit into a 3-storey townhouse in Camden, London. Safe to say this one tested the legs a bit… 😅

Some seriously heavy and awkward items had to go all the way up to the top floor, with tight staircases and plenty of lifting involved, but the team got it done carefully and professionally from start to finish. 💪📦

The heat today was no joke either, and the traffic on the way home was absolute chaos… proper London fun 😂🚛

Massive thanks to the customers who were genuinely lovely throughout the move. We always take pride in our work and treat every job like it’s our own home and belongings.

🚛🌧️ Another long-distance move completed by Red Lion Logistics Ltd 🌤️📦

This one was a full Luton load from New Haw down to beautiful Bath — moving a customer from their property straight into storage.

We packed the whole property up yesterday, then loaded everything up this morning before hitting the road around lunchtime 🚚

Typical British weather all day… one minute sunshine, the next absolutely chucking it down 😂☔

Everything loaded safely, protected properly, and delivered into storage without a hitch 👌

Another little packing job wrapped up today. 📦

This was mainly the last few bits the customers didn’t get round to packing when they moved out a while back — so we came in, got everything boxed up properly and ready for transport 🚚

We’ll also be taking the final load down to Bath later this week to fully finish the job off 👌

No matter if it’s a full house move, last-minute packing, or just the leftover bits nobody wants to deal with… we’ve got it covered 😅

🚚 Back on the Road… and Back Posting! 📦

We’ve been a bit quiet on here since last year… but that’s only because it’s been full-on behind the scenes. Jobs back-to-back, early starts, late finishes – just getting stuck in and building things properly 💪
Now it’s time to show a bit more of what we actually do day to day 👀

Last week’s move was a great example.
Started out as a straightforward job – Haywards Heath to Guildford – but as always, no two moves are ever the same.

By the time we got going, it turned into a solid 2 Luton job, packed out and ready to roll. With only one main Red Lion Logistics Luton, we brought in an extra Kendall hire van to keep things moving and make sure everything went in one hit.

The kind of day where everything just clicks – good access, no hold-ups, and even the weather decided to be on our side for once ☀️

Loads like this are where the experience counts – knowing how to load properly, protect everything, and keep it all running smooth from start to finish. No stress, no drama… just getting the job done right 👍
