Join us at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th October for a weekend of steam train journeys through the Derbyshire countryside.

Climb aboard, settle into your seat and enjoy the sights and sounds of a steam railway as you enjoy the sights between Wirksworth and Duffield.

Whether you’re bringing the family, meeting up with friends or simply treating yourself to a few hours away from the usual routine, there’s plenty to enjoy in the journey itself. From watching the locomotive prepare to depart to hearing the whistle and seeing the scenery roll past your window, it’s an experience for first-time visitors and familiar faces alike.

🕰️ Departures on Friday, Saturday and Sunday:
• From Wirksworth: 10:15, 12:45 and 15:20
• From Duffield: 11:15, 13:45 and 16:20

We'd like to say a massive thank you to East Midlands Railway for having us and Peak Rail at Derby Station this week.

Our fantastic volunteers and staff have spent the week having a presence in Derby Station to spread awareness of all of the amazing experiences available at our railway in the Ecclesbourne Valley!

We thank everyone who saw our stand and came to have a chat.
We are building up to an amazing run of Christmas experiences with Santa's Enchanted Journey as well as our luxury Christmas dining experiences.

We were delighted to welcome so many wizarding fans at Wirksworth Station, where we had a wide range of magical activities and events for the whole family.

The steam train service was especially popular and was busy throughout the day, with many passengers dressed up as their favourite fantasy character.

Wirksworth Wizarding Day is the biggest event of its kind in the country, during which the town centre is transformed into a wonderland of magic, spells and potions, bewitching costumes and amazing performers.

We were privileged to, once again, be a part of this amazing event – and, we're already looking forward to next year's wizarding day.

An evening of music in support of our new station building! 🚂

Join the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway Association for a charity concert with the BM&W Band, featuring favourites from films and musicals alongside a varied programme of popular music.
