Our Class 14 Teddy Bear D9526 will be carrying the wreath shown in this picture for a round trip tomorrow in honour of our dear friend and Williton Deputy Station Master, Phil Chapman.

The loco will do a round trip from Minehead and then return to Williton where the wreath will be handed over to the station staff for display at the station on Sunday.

Phil was also a DEPG member and will be greatly missed by all at Williton.

We had a great first day of the West Somerset Railway Summer Diesel Festival yesterday. After a bit of a wet and windy start the weather played ball for the rest of the day, so fingers crossed it does the same today 🤞Here’s a few pictures from yesterday for a quick day one roundup.

There’s two days of pure diesel running left and the mixed traction day on Sunday, so please do come along and support the railway if you’re able to! Our Williton yard is open to the public with our sales stand, Rods model railways and the Irie 7 Mobile Coffee Shop alongside our viewing and seating area for a perfect trackside view of departing locos. We look forward to seeing you all today 😃
