Wigan Airports – Half-Term Chaos

✈️😂 HALF-TERM WARNING… DON’T SAY WE DIDN’T TELL YOU! 😂✈️

Half-term is looming… although apparently “half-term” now lasts about 97 days and stretches across two weeks depending on which school your kids go to. 🤣🙈

And our diary is already looking VERY busy. 🚕💨

So if you’ve booked your flights, bought 14 new outfits, ordered £200 worth of stuff off Temu and started arguing about whose suitcase the hairdryer is going in…

PLEASE BOOK YOUR AIRPORT TRANSFER! 😂
We genuinely HATE saying no.

We’re the type that’ll stare at the diary for 20 minutes, move things around, ask every driver twice and perform some sort of mathematical miracle trying to squeeze you in. 🤣

But we’re busier than we’ve EVER been, so unfortunately we’re having to say “Sorry, we’re full” more than we’d like. 😭

Please don’t ring us the day before with:

Because whilst we love a challenge… we haven’t mastered cloning the drivers yet. 😂😂

These prices are return airport transfers from Wigan (all other areas covered and quoted on request) and will stay as above for the rest of the year and way into next year.

We know everything else seems to be going up fuel, parking, the lot!

But we’ve kept our prices as they are because we know times are hard enough already.

🚨 OKAY… WE HATE TO SAY THE “C” WORD… 🎄🎅🤶

But… CHRISTMAS IS COMING! 😩😂

And before we know it, we’ll be wondering where the year has gone and everyone will be messaging:

“Any chance you can fit us in?” 👀

Well… possibly not! 😂

We are VERY nearly fully booked for October, and November and December are filling up nicely too.

In fact, we’re finding ourselves saying “sorry, we’re fully booked” a LOT more than we ever used to.

And we really don’t like saying no! ❤️

We’ve had an absolutely MEGA busy summer.

Our drivers are tired, under pressure and, quite frankly, dreaming of a holiday themselves! 😂✈️

But apparently the airport doesn’t stop… and neither do we! 🤣

⛽️ And then there’s the little matter of fuel…
Nearly £2 a litre 😳

Despite everything going up around us, we want to reassure our customers that our prices are NOT going up at the moment.

We increased our prices previously when fuel costs rose, and we feel that increase was more than sufficient for now. So, as things stand, we have absolutely no intention of putting our prices up. ❤️

Obviously… depending on how daft this government decides to get 😂🤦‍♀️ we may have to have another look further down the line, but for now, our prices are staying exactly where they are.

So if you’ve got airport transfers to book between now and Christmas, please don’t leave it until the last minute.

🎄 Christmas – already getting VERY busy!

We genuinely appreciate every single booking, but we also want to make sure we can continue giving our customers the service you’ve come to expect from us.

And please remember… when we say “we’re fully booked”, it’s not us being awkward.

It’s because our drivers are only human! 😂❤️

🚨 TONIGHT IS AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES! 🚨

We just want to apologise in advance if any of our drivers are running a little late tonight. Unfortunately, it is completely out of our control. 😩

The M6 Northbound is closed, but the road closures we’re now encountering weren’t advertised to us, and the diversion route that has been given simply isn’t working.

To make matters worse, Google Maps isn’t even showing the road closure, so it’s sending drivers down routes that are either closed or leading them absolutely everywhere! 🤦‍♀️

We’re doing everything we can to get around the chaos and get everyone to where they need to be as quickly and safely as possible.

🙏 Please bear with us tonight.

We promise we’re on our way and will get to you as soon as we possibly can.

🚧 M6 Thelwall Viaduct – Important Travel Update 🚧

We’re aware of the upcoming overnight closures and lane restrictions affecting the M6 Thelwall Viaduct between 21st September and 11th October 2026.

🔴 Overnight lane and carriageway closures will take place between 10pm and 5am, including restrictions on both the northbound and southbound carriageways.

🔴 Full overnight closures: • Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th September – Northbound • Wednesday 30th September & Thursday 1st October – Southbound • Sunday 11th October – Northbound

🔴 There will also be various slip road closures at Junction 21.

During full closures, traffic will be diverted via the M56, M60 and M62, so please allow extra time for your journey.

⚠️ From 12th October 2026, a 24/7 contraflow will be introduced between Junctions 20 and 21, with a 40mph speed limit. This is expected to remain in place until winter 2027/28 while essential maintenance work is carried out.

✈️ Wigan Airports will continue to monitor the situation and plan our airport transfers accordingly. If you’re travelling to or from Manchester Airport during this period, we recommend allowing additional time for your journey.

We’ll keep our customers updated with any significant changes that may affect your airport transfer.

And just like that… all our stranded customers are home. ❤️✈️

I’m tired. My team are tired. But honestly, there is no one else I would rather have by my side at times like this than my drivers.

They have worked unbelievably hard — covering their allocated jobs, taking on all the delayed jobs and constantly adapting to make sure we could still provide the best service possible.

Flights landing at completely different UK airports… flights arriving 17 hours later than scheduled… customers stranded and plans changing constantly — but we got them home. 💪🏼

And apart from the odd moan about a driver being 7 minutes away after a 24-hour flight delay 😂… I think we can safely say we absolutely smashed it.

A massive thank you to my team. I genuinely have the best lads. They always go above and beyond, take the pressure off and just get the job done — no matter what is thrown at them.
I couldn’t be prouder of you all. ❤️

And we do it all again today 💙
