UPDATE PLANE STRUCK BY LIGHTENING HAD TO LAND AT MANCHESTER ON ITS WAY FROM LEEDS TO CANARIES SO EMERGENCY SERVICES IN ATTENDANCE

Not quite sure what's happening at Manchester Airport at the moment, but several flights have been on approach and then diverted at the last minute.

Please bear with us as we currently have a number of flights that have already been diverted, with more being redirected to East Midlands Airport.

We will continue to keep in contact with all affected customers, and we'd appreciate it if you could keep in touch with us regarding any updates you receive from your airline.

Our Operator's Licence has been registered under the name Wigan Airports for the past 22 years, and we will continue to trade and operate under that name.
