🚨 MANCHESTER AIRPORT PICKUPS – PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU FLY! 🚨

“I’m ready” doesn’t always mean we can be there in 5 minutes anymore.

Manchester Airport’s traffic has become extremely congested, particularly around Terminal 2, and it is causing major delays getting to the pickup areas.

✈️ Once you’ve collected your luggage and tell us you’re ready, our driver may already be just minutes from the airport — but getting through the traffic can now take 40–50minutes or even longer.

🚗 It’s not our drivers causing the delay.
🚦 It’s the congestion and current airport access arrangements.

We know how frustrating this is after a long flight, and believe us, we’re just as frustrated as you are!

We will:
✅ Monitor your flight
✅ Keep you updated
✅ Get to you as quickly as possible
✅ Never leave you wondering where your driver is

🙏 Please allow a little extra time when being collected from Manchester Airport.

Wigan Travel – Reliable airport transfers, even when the airport isn’t!

💙 Thank you for your patience and understanding.

✈️ CUSTOMER UPDATE – UK AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL ISSUES ⚠️

We’re aware of ongoing air traffic control issues affecting Manchester Airport and other UK airports today, with hundreds of flights experiencing delays.

If you’re travelling today, please check your flight status directly with your airline before leaving for the airport, and allow extra time for your journey.

🛫 If your flight is delayed:
Please don’t worry — we will continue to monitor your booking and work with you wherever possible to make sure your airport transfer runs as smoothly as it can.

🚗 For Wigan Travel customers:
Our drivers are out on the road as normal and we will do our best to accommodate any changes caused by flight disruption.

Please bear with us if response times are slightly longer than usual while we manage the increased number of changes.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. ❤️

If you’re travelling with Wigan Travel Airports between Monday 21 September and Monday 12 October, please be aware of planned M6 Thelwall Viaduct closures and lane restrictions.

🛣️ What’s happening?

There will be a number of overnight closures and restrictions around the Thelwall Viaduct, including:

✈️ IMPORTANT FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

These works could mean longer journey times, particularly for early-morning and late-night airport transfers.

At Wigan Travel Airports, we will be keeping an eye on the traffic and allowing extra time where necessary to help make sure you get to the airport on time.

📅 If you’re travelling during these dates, please allow extra time for your journey and don’t leave your airport transfer until the last minute.
