A huge thank you to the hundreds of boaters who visited our booth and discovered/bought Barton sailboat hardware.

Annapolis is a very special town and the perfect location for such a friendly, community driven show. You make it what it is!

Barton HQ, the final step. After being assembled by hand over the last few weeks, the packaged block finally makes it onto the shelves, alongside the rest of the range and ready to go out to you.

If this display looks familiar, you might have seen it at Southampton Boat Show last month. If not, you'll find it at Annapolis Sailboat Show later this week, from 15th to 18th October on stand SCP38, with the technical team on hand to talk you through the range.

We're heading back to the warehouse in a couple of weeks to film more Barton HQ content. Is there a product you've always wondered about, or a part of the process you'd like to see? Let us know in the comments and we'll do our best to get it on camera.

A look back at past Annapolis Boat Shows , just to give you an idea of what to expect and get you excited for next week.

We'll be back from 15th to 18th October, with the full stand, the latest kit and the technical team on hand to help. Come and find us on stand SCP38.

We're heading to Annapolis Boat Show from 15th to 18th October, and you'll find us on stand SCP38.

Some of our most recent innovative launches will be on the stand, including the HBT Continuous Line Furler. A boat show is one of the best places to see new kit properly, so if you've been curious about any of our latest products, this is your chance to get hands on with them before deciding whether they're right for your boat.

The technical team will be on hand throughout the show. Whether you're rigging a new boat, upgrading your deck layout, or trying to work out which block suits a particular job, bring your questions and they'll be glad to help. They know the range inside out and are always happy to talk through a tricky setup.

You'll also find Barton products with Defender, Fawcett Marine and Bacon Sails around the show.

Assembling the block, part three of three.

And that's it. A finished block, ready to be packaged and sent out to you.

Three short clips don't quite capture it, but hopefully they've given you a glimpse of the skill and time that goes into putting together just one block. Multiply that across the whole range and you get a sense of what goes on behind the door here.

Behind the door at Barton HQ.

A few shots from around the factory floor, the details that don't usually make it onto the feed. Parts waiting to become products, pieces ready to be packaged and the quiet bits of the process that happen long before anything reaches a deck.

This is what British manufacturing looks like up close, and all of it happens here in Whitstable.

Assembling the block, part two of three.

This is the stage where it starts to look like the finished product. Loose parts on a bench become something you'd recognise from a deck.

What you can't see in a clip like this is how much thought sits behind each of those parts. The shape of a cheek, the way a sheave runs, the tolerances that decide whether a block turns sweetly under load or grinds. None of that arrived fully formed. It came from designing here, making here, sailing with the results and then going back and improving them, which is a loop we can only run as quickly as we do because it all happens in one place.
