It’s been a particularly busy week for us as the summer holiday season starts to wind down — lots of airport runs, cruise transfers and journeys across the UK.

One trip we particularly enjoyed this week was a long-distance transfer from Manchester all the way to the Port of Southampton, taking our customers down to board Celebrity Apex. 🛳️

✈️ When Things Don’t Go To Plan — Having Plan B Matters

Heathrow has been hit by another unexpected disruption this morning, 15 August 2026.

A burst water main has caused flooding around the passenger terminals, with road access to Terminals 2 and 3 restricted.

This morning, we had a customer heading to Terminal 3 for an international flight. If we simply headed to Terminal 3, we would be stuck in the tunnel forever and missed the flight.

After discussing the situation with the customer, we quickly changed the plan and diverted to Terminal 5 instead. From there, we advised the passenger with the onward transfer to Terminal 3 using Underground.

It wasn’t exactly how we had planned the journey, it wasn’t the easiest for the customer, it wasn’t comfortable at all.

But it meant the customer still arrived the checkin desk well before it closed, and managed in less pressure. 👍🏻

This is exactly why we always recommend allowing plenty of time when travelling to the airport and wherever else.

🚗 Road closures happen.
✈️ Flights get delayed.
🚧 Accidents happen.
🌧️ And sometimes, something completely unexpected happens at the airport itself.

You can’t control everything.

But having enough time gives you options when something does go wrong.

We don’t simply follow the original booking and hope everything works out. We keep an eye on the situation, communicate with our customers and, where possible, look for alternative arrangements when the original plan is no longer suitable.

Because at the end of the day, we’re providing a service — not simply a car from A to B.

今次真係「Dry到爆」🥵

今朝 Heathrow 爆水浸左半個Terminal，一般做法當然就係直接封左去Terminal 2 同 Terminal 3 條路，攪到全世界唔洗入去。

今日客人唔好彩就係CX252（中午機）返香港，撞到應一應。我地渣緊車上機場果時，就收到通知話T3封左路。同客人分析完之後，客人同意係T5落車再轉地鐵。呢個應該係當刻最安全做法。

雖然最後比我哋原本預計嘅時間遲咗少少，但最重要係：客人可以checkin到👍

呢啲就係好好例子，點解我地會叫客人提早出發。當然，唔塞車、冇特別事就要係機場座，但唔好彩，就會miss左班機。

🚗 道路可以突然封閉
✈️ 航班可以突然延誤
🚧 路上可以突然發生事故
🌧️ 機場亦可以突然出現我哋完全預計唔到嘅情況

好多事情，我哋控制唔到。

但如果預留多一點時間，當事情出現變化時，我哋就會有更多選擇。

我哋唔係單純跟住 booking 上面原本嘅時間出車，然後希望一路順順利利。

我哋會留意交通及機場情況，同客人保持溝通；如果原本嘅安排唔再適合，亦會盡量一齊諗其他可行方案。

因為對我哋嚟講，我哋提供嘅唔只係一架車由 A 點去 B 點。而係由你出發之前，到你安全抵達目的地，盡量幫你處理好沿途可能出現嘅問題。

有時候，多出嗰一個鐘，真係可以令成個旅程安心好多。

The A31 between Southampton and Bournemouth has been closed for more than 24 hours following the major fire near the New Forest, with significant disruption and diversions in the area.

Today, we had another customer travelling from Whiteley to Bournemouth Airport. Unfortunately, their original operator could no longer accommodate the journey at short notice.

The customer reached out and found us on Facebook to see if we could help, and yes, we managed to fit the booking into our schedule and get our customer on their way.

Yes, last-minute bookings may cost differently, sometime more, sometimes less. There are different factors we consider.

But one thing we can promise: The price we quote is the price we charge.

No surprises halfway through the journey. No sudden “the road is closed, so there will be an extra charge.”

Your journey starts when you get in contact with us, we look at live traffic information, and live update of any flight positioning etc, aiming getting you there on time.

📱 Before your departure, we monitor the road conditions and traffic situation.
🛣️ If we believe the journey may be affected, we'll let you know and recommend allowing additional time.
⏰ Where possible, we'll work with you to arrange an earlier pickup.

Because sometimes things happen that are completely outside anyone's control.
We can't control these things. But we can control how we respond to them.

And we'll keep doing our best to look after you until we're all exhausted by the things that are outside our control. 😅

Last week, we had a late-night pickup from Bournemouth Airport (BOH / EGHH).

The customer's flight from Rhodes was originally scheduled to arrive at 23:50, but as the screenshot shows, the flight was running significantly late.

The important thing is — we were already watching from the morning. 👀

Our operation doesn't rely on the original scheduled arrival time. We monitor live flight activity and, when the situation changes, we can adjust our driver arrangements accordingly.

That means when your flight is delayed, you don't have to sit there wondering:

"Is my driver still coming?"
"Will they know my flight is late?"
"Do I need to find another way home?"

Someone is watching and someone is there to help.
