Two very different days at sea, but most importantly the weather played ball!!!

Friday was a tough start with fish proving hard to find and catch but a quick steam across Weymouth bay and we were among some fish.

Saturday started well with big busts of fish with some really big bass spotted at times busting the surface with Mackerel even running scared jumping out the water!

Well done to all the guys and some getting an introduction to our style of Finesse boat fishing which I think was very well received with the Major Craft Engan and Shimano Ultegra reels working in perfect harmony ❤️

Last week saw more trips going ahead with some hard times with the weather being as hot and bright as it is. The water is just under 20 degrees centigrade already! We did manage some fish though and during a very windy Friday MMD had a new coat of paint 😍 stay tuned for availability

Well here we go …. Our first trip saw friends Jim Ainley, Fin Powell and partner Charlotte out for the day.

First time nerves were soon put to bed as Fin started catching a steady stream of good Wrasse and Jim soon joined in on the action!
Now Charlotte quietly fished away until she hit what was to be the biggest Bass of the day at 53cm which I believe was a PB and one that will be remembered for some time!

As tides changed we moved to the bill
Point where the birds and bass put on a display with plenty of surface activity and even watching massive shoals of Bass and baitfish swimming under the boat.

Unfortunately after this frantic fishing the afternoon’s activity slowed but that didn’t dampen what was a fantastic day.

Species : Bass, Ballan Wrasse, Po***ck and Mackerel
