Another cracking days diving yesterday, diving the Black Hawk bow with 5-10 m viz according to the divers…

2nd dive was an old favourite Bat’s Head Reef with a gentle drift running West, viz not quite as good but still very happy divers making very happy memories again…,

Diving continues with us until Christmas with our RNLI Santa Dive on 12th December…

Our annual Santa 🎅🏼 Dive is on Saturday 12th December departing from Portland Marina…

1st Santa Dive ~ British Inventor 18-21 m nicknamed the scallop wreck by divers

2nd Santa Dive ~ Hartlepool 10-12 m or local dive

Ropes off 9.30 am

We are looking for a minimum donation of £75 where 💯 % will go directly to RNLI Weymouth.

Over the past 5 years will have raised over £7,000.00 for our local RNLI.

We will also be holding a Christmas raffle which will be drawn in Salt Pub in the marina afterwards, we are loo for donations and sponsorship to boost funds…

Raffle tickets are £2.00 each or 5 for £10.00😉

Santa costumes a must…

We will serve up our legendary hot pasties along with hot mince pies with whipped cream and Hit Chocolate with Marshmallows and cream to get you right into the festive spirit….

RYA Powerboat Level 2

WHAT THIS COURSE COVERS

This course which gives you the essential skills and knowledge to become a competent powerboat driver, and forms the foundation for the International Certificate of Competence. Training takes place on the water across Portland Harbour and Weymouth, covering everything from low-speed close-quarters handling to man overboard recovery. No previous experience is needed, though it’s a natural next step if you’ve completed Level 1.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

During the course you will cover the following:

• Launching and recovery
• Boat handling
• Securing to a buoy
• Anchoring
• Leaving and coming alongside
• Man overboard
