Join a spectacular charity rail adventure from London and East Anglia to Edinburgh supporting Macmillan Cancer Support, promoted by the Branch Line Society in memory of Suzanne Collins.

🌟 The Star Power:
Travel behind the legendary Class 50 diesel locomotives 50049 Defiance and 50007 Hercules from The Class Fifty Alliance—the exact powerhouse duo that starred on The Grand Tour with Francis Bourgeois. Experience their iconic roar and mainline power in person!

🛣️ The Route & Destinations:
Head North via the 'Joint Line' through Lincoln and Doncaster, up the East Coast Main Line with coastal views of Bamburgh Castle, offering 2.5 hours in Edinburgh or stops at Durham and Newcastle.

🍴 The Catering:
On-board Buffet Car with real ale, or First Class Dining by The Railway Diners.

🚉 Key Stations & Fares:
Departs from Alexandra Palace, Potters Bar, Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Royston, Cambridge, Ely, March, Peterborough, and York. Fares range from £74.50 (Junior) to £359 (First Class Dining).

Join us for an epic, track-bashing rail adventure from London and East Anglia all the way to Edinburgh—all while supporting an incredible cause.

Promoted by our friends at the Branch Line Society, this special charity charter is raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Suzanne Collins.

The Power:
We are pairing up two legendary Class 50 diesel locomotives courtesy of The Class Fifty Alliance.

The Route:
Snaking North via an exciting diversion along the Joint Line through Lincoln, then tearing up the East Coast Main Line.

The Destinations:
Enjoy up to 2.5 hours exploring the historic streets of Edinburgh (or opt to alight early for a city break in Durham or Newcastle).

A limited number of seats are now available to book on this tour.

They won't be around for long so if you wish to travel do not delay in making your booking!

We are heading to beautiful Bognor Regis! So please join us onboard a proper loco-hauled train with loud Class 37 locomotives providing the power as we explore Southern routes which seldom see a fantastic train such as ours. We offer very sociable start and finish times, a rare branch and routing for Class 37s and a generous early afternoon break in a fabulous location.

In addition, we have planned the route and timings so that all the rare loco hauled track will be covered during daylight hours, so you won’t miss a thing. We will certainly have a lot of fun as some graded routes will ensure the noise of our locomotives will reverberate around the gentrified suburbs of the Capital and the Home Counties where other passengers awaiting their mundane electric trains will look on agog as we thunder through, and swarms of enthusiasts attempt to capture the moment for their social media content whilst secretly wishing they were sat in your seat!

From Ely, Cambridge North, Letchworth Garden City, Stevenage, Hertford North, Finsbury Park and London Bridge.
