PALLET & EXPORT UPDATE New EU requirements from today

From 1 September 2026, new procedures affecting wooden packaging including pallets come into effect for goods entering the EU through Calais.

For UK businesses exporting goods, it’s another reminder of just how important the right pallet and packaging specification can be.

Wooden pallets travelling internationally may need to meet ISPM 15 requirements, helping prevent the international spread of pests and ensuring timber packaging is appropriately treated and marked.

JayMac Solutions Washington Expansion

Big news from our Washington site!

Demand has been growing fast, and we’ve expanded our factory and office space in Washington to keep up. More room, more capacity, and more capability to deliver for our customers when they need it.
You’ll also start spotting something new around the building our fresh Jaymac Solutions branding is going up at Washington first, as we roll it out across all our sites over the coming months. Same team, same standards, sharper look.

Welcome to the Team: Cory Thompson, General Manager at Jaymac!

We’re thrilled to introduce Cory Thompson, who has stepped into the role of General Manager here at Jaymac and we couldn’t be more excited about what he brings to the table.

Cory’s career began on the shop floor as an engineer, working across production facilities for some of the biggest names in manufacturing. From there, he developed into a multi-skilled engineer before progressing into continuous improvement and engineering management, where he built a real passion for working alongside teams and bringing out the best in them.
Before joining us, Cory spent the last couple of years in engineering sales, helping businesses find safer, smarter, and more efficient ways to work. That blend of hands-on engineering expertise and a genuine drive to deliver solutions is exactly what he’s bringing to Jaymac.

“Joining Jaymac as General Manager, I hope to help improve our systems, our processes, and our team,” says Cory. “Working alongside Jay and Wesley has already been fantastic.”

Outside of work, Cory’s just as busy keeping up with his son and his packed schedule of activities, walking his dog Dexter, and cheering on Newcastle United with friends and family.
