Today is the Anniversary of Air France Flight 4590 crash. R.I.P to all victims who died

Air France Flight 4590 was a Concorde flight operated by Air France which was scheduled to fly from Charles de Gaulle Airport near Paris, to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. On 25 July 2000, it crashed into a hotel in Gonesse, France. All one hundred passengers and nine crew members on board the flight died. On the ground, four people were killed and one critically injured.

A recap of the first week of 2024.

We are 6 days into 2024 and have already had 6 serious events within the aviation industry.

On January 2nd JAL 516 collided with a Japanese coast guard DHC Dash-8 on the ground killing 7 on board the Dash 8

On January 4th Hollywood Actor Christian Oliver and his 2 daughters were killed in a Caribbean plane crash.
On the same day a cabin manager of A British Airways accidentally deployed the emergency slide of a 787-9 in Mumbai.
Again on the same day a B1 Lancer bound for Ellsworth crashed. The circumstances are yet unknown but All four crew members ejected safely from the aircraft and survived.

On January 5th A passenger was found dead in the lavatory of a Jet2 flight from Tenerife bound for Manchester. It continued towards Manchester and made an uneventful landing.
The aircrafts was an A321 (G-SUNB)

On January 6th an Alaskan 737 MAX-9 suffered a rapid decompression when a section of a plugged door broke away from the aircraft.
This has grounded all 737MAX-9 aircraft until they have been serviced.

An easyJet flight made a 360° turn over the North Sea.
The Northern Lights were very strong a couple of days ago, the reason was to allow passengers on both sides of the aircraft to see the fantastic auroraborealis.

Korean Air A330 Overruns and Crash Lands in Bad Weather in The Philippines.

KE361 An Airbus A330-300 operated by Korean Air has crash-landed in bad weather and poor visibility after trying to land at Cebu International Airport (CEB) in the Philippines today.

The plane departed from Seoul's Incheon International Airport and carried 173 Pax and crew.
According to the airline everyone evacuated the aircraft safely.
