🚨 “𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲…”

There are very few telephone calls capable of draining the colour from a transport manager’s face quite as quickly as those five words.

Over the past three months, we’ve assisted five operators, across both the truck 🚛 and bus 🚌 industries, following serious bridge strikes involving railway infrastructure.

And one thing became obvious very quickly…

Most operators spend years thinking about how to 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 a bridge strike.

Very few ever think about how to 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱 to one.
⏰ Who calls the rail authority?
📞 Who contacts emergency services?
📸 Who preserves the evidence?
📋 Who informs the Traffic Commissioner?
🔍 Who investigates the incident properly?
⚠️ Who makes sure it never happens again?

Because when those answers don’t exist, the bridge strike itself often stops being the biggest problem.

The aftermath becomes the problem.
