Voe Marine proudly sponsored the Graduation Ball for the University of Strathclyde - Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering Department last week.

Our connection with the department is significant, as four members of our design team are proud graduates, with varying years of experience since their graduation!!

This longstanding relationship is further demonstrated through our participation in the yearly careers fayre and our provision of internship opportunities, showcasing our commitment to supporting the next generation of engineers in the field.

At Voe Marine, we prioritise the development and upskilling of our team. This week, eight of our welders and platers participated in a High Risk Confined Space training course at our fabrication facility at the Port of Blyth.

Eurosafe UK provided their mobile confined space training unit and conducted an informative three-day course for our team.

Investing in specialist training like this strengthens our safety culture and ensures our teams are fully equipped to manage high-risk environments. By improving knowledge of confined space hazards, rescue procedures, and safe systems of work, we reduce risk, enhance compliance, and support more efficient project delivery.

This commitment not only protects our team but also reinforces the high standards our clients expect, positioning Voe Marine as a responsible, safety-focused, and capable partner across all our operations.

We are proud to share another Offshore Wind success story from the Voe Marine team in the North East.

Voe Marine has successfully completed a 12-week mobilisation support scope for the Hornsea 3 Wind Farm, supporting our client Cadeler at the Port of Tyne.

The project involved the manufacture of a range of steel structures at our quayside fabrication facility in the Port of Blyth, followed by transportation to the Port of Tyne where our site fabrication and welding teams carried out the installation works.

To support the installation phase, Voe Marine also provided skilled riggers, working-at-height personnel, rope access technicians and painters, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery throughout.

In addition, Voe Marine was contracted by Cadeler to support the seafastening scope for the mobilisation of the Wind Orca, installing wind farm construction aids on the vessel deck.

Our Naval Architecture team also provided technical support during these works.

Delivered in close collaboration with Cadeler’s onshore and vessel teams, both scopes were completed within tight mobilisation windows—demonstrating what can be achieved through strong partnerships, experienced teams, and a shared commitment to safe, efficient delivery.

We would like to thank Cadeler for their continued trust in Voe Marine, as well as our valued subcontractors across the North East for their support.
