Well that’s the end of our four day appeal for donations towards Ukrainian refugees crossing the Polish border. HGV lorries will be rolling in the next 24 hours to get these very much needed items to the people who need them most.
A massive thank you to every person who called in with bags and boxes, the video here shows roughly 1/3 of all donations collected during the period - in over 30 years in the industry, I’ve never known a response to an appeal like this before. We were overwhelmed by your generosity (and cake and biscuits to keep us going) and your speed to react to this very worthy cause was incredible.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Each and every one of you who opened the door to our store has made a difference to a person escaping their homeland with little or no possessions.
