This is where I picked up most of my skills I have today and also fell in
love with the English waterways. I also got to explore a lot of the waterways around the UK through this job. I was in charge of the butty boat which is essentially a horse drawn vessel
being towed by the motorboat. They came as a pair known as a working pair. After several years touring the inland waterways working on Hot

el boats I settled in
Oxford and became a qualified skipper with Oxford River Cruises. Living on a canal boat with my dog Hugo. I am now in a position to offer training to new boaters and also to move
boats for people using the inland waterways.
