After 5 years in the Wilderness, Eve's skipper Debbie Purser now has another pilot cutter you can sail on. 44ft Tallulah is a bigger sister ship to Eve of St Mawes and runs 3 and 6 day charter adventures out of St Mawes.

You can still see Eve of St Mawes in the bay as she is now privately owned and beautifully kept by Mark, Helen and family.

Tallulah sailing programme for 2023 includes Cornwall short breaks, classic boat skills courses, boaty bootcamps, yoga and wild swimming voyages, Island hopping in the Isles of Scilly, trips to Brittany, and using Tallulah as a floating base for small boat expeditions and dinghy cruising. She sleeps 6 guests and 2 crew.

Today seems a good time to reflect on my last year as Eve's skipper. Many momentous events have happened in 2016, but for me this is the one I will remember most.

So today was my last full day on Eve as her skipper! What a day!!! with a steady run out towards the manacles and back at 7 knots all the way. A proper last gallop. What an amazing summer. Thank you to all that I have sailed with this summer whether around Falmouth, to Scilly or around and about France. It's been amazing and hope to sail with you again... That includes Eve, if I'm allowed. Signing off tomorrow after a thorough clean. Love from Melissa the skipper x

Getting Cooler by the Day
Eve's skipper Melissa notched up lots of firsts this month. First time as skipper during the legendary fleet parade of sail from Brest to Douarnenez, first time through the Tais de Pois Gap, and positively loving sailing in the Bay at Douarnenez. Oh...and she squeezed a sneaky night sail parade on Gypsy Moth IV too.

We may not have made it to the scillies this week with a constant strong wind warning for the week from the south west or west but we have had some brilliant sailing in challenging conditions and explored alot of Falmouth and the surrounded area

"i get by with a little help from my friends"

A few weeks ago we picked up a bit of old rope around the prop on way back from Scillies ( voyage 1).

Eve's bigger sister Agnes came to the rescue to pass a tow line to Eve as the wind slowly died.

Thank you Luke, Jo and crew for adding a few more knots of speed to the long journey home.

No harm done as St Mawes Harbour is a scenic place to dry out and wrestle the annaconda like rope off the prop.....

Join pilot cutter 'international rescue' and grab one of the few remaining places on Agnes this September.

A strategic delay of one day before setting off, made it all possible ....and then the Isles created their magic spell on us.
